In the sanctuary of our homes, where the world’s hustle fades into a distant murmur, loungewear is more than mere necessity, but an expression of self-care and style. We crave the feeling of throwing something simple on, where comfort seamlessly blends with allure. Where fabrics are so soft you can fall asleep, but also the perfect balance of sexy but comfy pajamas.
After all, our homes are where we can clear our minds, put the kettle on, and look good doing it. Below, we explore the fabrics that feel like butter, the silhouettes that flatter, and the colors that enchant, crafting an at-home capsule of luxury with every thread.
Here are my favorite loungewear sets that fit the bill:
1. Negative loungewear
Sexy – 10/10
Comfy – 10/10
Durability – 8/10
Cost – 5/10
Seasonal Weight: Spring/Summer/Fall
I have to say, this loungewear mix and match set is nearly perfect, scoring a 9 out of 10 for me. When it comes to luxury, comfort, and sexiness, it’s an undeniable 10. It’s like wearing a cloud that’s also incredibly flattering. Bonus that my husband’s eyes are glued to me!
What makes this set exceptional, especially as a new mom, is its functional design. With easy-access buttons for nursing and stretchy material, it’s been a game-changer postpartum. If you’re a new mom looking for the perfect nursing loungewear, this set is a must-have; you’ll want to run, not walk, to get it.
And if you’re just looking for something special for intimate moments, this set is perfect for that too. It’s sheer enough to feel sexy but grab the matching whipped boxers for bedtime. I love this v neck paired with their joggers as well for something less sheer.
It is on the pricier side, and being quite sheer and thin, it is not be the most durable, though it has survived a cat claw attack. If you’re wary of getting too attached to something that might not last forever, this is something to consider. But honestly, the experience of wearing this set might just be worth it. You won’t regret adding this to your collection, even if it’s a bit of a splurge.
2. Lake Pajamas
Sexy – 6/10
Comfy – 10/10
Durability – 10/10
Cost – 5/10
Seasonal Weight: Winter/Spring/Fall
I was initially skeptical about this loungewear set, as I worried about potential itchiness and cold buttons, but I was delightfully proven wrong. The fabric is incredibly soft, with no hint of itchiness, and the buttons are cleverly sewn so they’re never in direct contact with your skin.
I bought this set hoping for a comfortable upgrade from my sweats in the winter, but what I got was so much more. This loungewear isn’t just an upgrade; it’s easy to wear, stylish, and warm. The cardigan from this women’s loungewear set has become a staple in my wardrobe, pairing seamlessly with jeans and a pair of clogs, proving its versatility beyond just lounging. I love their kimono set too.
3. Eberjey
Sexy – 10/10
Comfy – 10/10
Durability – 6/10
Cost – 5/10
Seasonal Weight: Spring/Summer
I asked my husband what he pictured when he thought of sexy loungewear and this set with the silk, spaghetti straps, and lace is the epitome of sexy. Nothing is more cozy than silk against your skin and it looks as good as it feels. Best way to wear it all day is to layer it with a silk robe for lounging and Eberjey’s robes are the best. I’m also pretty obsessed with their mix and match sets if you want something more comfy and presentable.
Alternatively, if you love the idea of silk, but not showing off your legs, check out these satin pants from Hanky Panky (matching top options are a cami or tee).
4. Petite Plume
Sexy – 3/10
Comfy – 10/10
Durability – 7/10
Cost – 5/10
Seasonal Weight: Spring/Summer
I fell in love with this company last year when I learned I could dress my whole extended family for Christmas, but these silk PJs were just for me. When I think of lounging in luxury, I think of my silk PJs from Petite Plume. But the thing that makes these even more fun is I could easily throw on red lipstick, a chignon, heels and go out to dinner with my besties and look oh so chic. They’re also machine washable to boot.
5. American Eagle Loungewear
Sexy – 7/10
Comfy – 8/10
Durability – 9/10
Cost – 10/10
Seasonal Weight: Spring/Summer/Fall
I had my husband take a look at these because I couldn’t figure out if this style was more sweet or sexy. He chose the score! I love how effortlessly sexy this set is to wear and you could definitely run out without having to change. It’s also extremely affordable and a little sporty to round out this list.
I wanted to suggest some brands you may not have thought of that are my favorites, however, loungewear has been taking over the internet ever since 2020. If the brands I’ve mentioned above don’t quite match your taste, here are some other classics in the loungewear scene that deserve your attention:
Boody: Known for their incredibly soft, eco-friendly fabrics, particularly bamboo.
Revolve: This site is a treasure trove of trendy loungewear, perfect for those who want to look chic even in comfort.
Anthropologie: Here, you’ll find unique, bohemian-inspired pieces that combine comfort with a touch of artistic flair.
AdoreMe: They bring an element of fun and personalization to loungewear, with options that cater to various tastes, ensuring you feel both sexy and relaxed.
Victoria’s Secret: Always a classic, perfect for those intimate, at-home moments. Pink will be similar to Revolve and AE’s style.
But don’t limit yourself to the known names; these brands might just introduce you to your new favorite loungewear set. Give them a try and redefine your comfort style!
